A one bedroom, self catering gite available for long term let in the sunny Vendee (famous for its beautiful beaches and good climate) and set in three acres of land with swimming pool. The farmhouse is situated in a private and quiet location in a small hamlet, yet is only a kilometre from the village of Velluire with its restaurant, boulangerie, bar/tabac and post office.
La Petite Grange is an excellent base for house hunters and has been recently renovated to a high standard keeping many of its original features. The accommodation comprises of kitchen, lounge, double bedroom and shower room.
The kitchen is equipped with fridge freezer, oven and hob, washing machine and microwave. The lounge area has a large day bed, sofa, TV and D.V.D. player. The bedroom has twin beds and an extra childbed or cot is available if required and the gite is also complete with a shower room, basin and w.c.
Outside is a large courtyard area complete with table and chairs, barbeque and full use of the extensive gardens and swimming pool that is shared with owners. The pool is approximately 11 metres by 5 metres and 2 metres deep (at the deep end). A series of gentle steps at one end lead you into the shallow aread of the pool.
The fields and farm tracks that surround La Petite Grange are ideal for cyclists and offer plentiful walks. This delightful gite is located in southern Vendee and is just ten minutes drive from the historical, renaissance town of Fontenay le Comte with the waterways and canals of the Marais Poitevin nearby. For those of you who wish to fish the waters here, permits can be obtained from the local bar tabac. The forest of Mervent is fifteen minutes away and aside from the walks and cycle paths, offers canoeing, horse riding, children’s adventure parks and zoo.
The beautiful Atlantic beaches on the west coast are approximately a thirty minutes drive away and La Rochelle famous for it's old port, sea food restaurants and shops is just forty minutes drive.
