La Nizette is a recently renovated French farmhouse with loads of character. Finished to a very high standard and set in three acres of land, the accommodation comprises of 4 bedrooms (master bedroom with en-suite), a shower room, large family kitchen with open fire and a large, in-ground swimming pool.
Located in the sunny Vendee, famous for its beautiful beaches and good climate, the farmhouse is set in a small hamlet. This long term let is situated in a private and quiet location, yet is only 1km from the village of Velluire which has a restaurant, boulangerie, bar tabac and post office. The surrounding fields and farm tracks are great for cycling and walks.
The property has a large open plan kitchen with dining area and lounge, open fireplace, exposed wooden beams and stone walls. The kitchen includes 2 full size ovens plus an 8 ring hob, built in microwave, large American style freezer with ice-maker and a dishwasher. In the dining area you will find a large dining table and 2 large sofas, T.V. with Video and D.V.D. player. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available. Upstairs is a large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and super king-size bed. The other 3 bedrooms have twin beds. All the bedrooms have beamed ceilings and views of the surrounding countryside. A cot and extra childbed are available if required.
The house is set in 3 acres of land mainly laid to lawn and there is a large gravel area with pergola, garden table and chairs for outside dining. The swimming pool is approx. 11m x 5m with gentle steps leading to the shallow end, the deep end is 2m deep.
This delightful long term let is located in the South Vendee just 10mins drive from the historic renaissance town of Fontenay le Comte. La Nizette is also close to the waterways and canals of the Marais Poitevin that offers great fishing with permits available from the local bar tabac. The forest of Mervent is 15mins away and is ideal for walking, cycling, canoeing, horse riding and has children’s adventure parks and a zoo.
The beautiful Atlantic beaches on the West coast are approx 30mins drive and La Rochelle, famous for its old port, sea food restaurants and shops is just 40mins drive.
