If you are looking for a peaceful, rural French retreat for your short stay in the Limousin then our Gite could be exactly what you're looking for.

Located adjacent to our main house from where we serve Bed & Breakfast (Chambres d'Hôtes in France) our Gite allows you both privacy and access to our local knowledge and assistance should you require it. The Gite, renovated between August 2004 and November 2005 and has undergone extensive modernisation but not at the loss of it's quaint, rustic charm. The living area is cool in the summer months, warm in the winter months, features exposed wooden beams and benefits from a typically Limousine stone fire place in which sits a newly fitted wood burning stove.

The living area (shown above) is open plan with a custom designed and hand built, pine kitchenette that can be seen to the right hand side of the photograph above. The kitchen also benefits from ample electrical sockets, something often lacking in Gites where you have to fight over one socket to put the kettle on. The kitchen is fitted with a gas instant water heater that also serves the bathroom and upstairs bedroom vanity unit for hot water.

The upstairs double bedroom (seen above and below) features a vanity unit, linen shelves a drawer unit and wardrobe. The bedroom is bright, airy and offers delightful views of the Monts d'Ambazac.

Accessed from the living area and located in the rear of the Gite is the bathroom and WC. The bath is a quaint, old fashioned cast iron tub with shower over and to the side of the tub is a sink with storage for toiletries. The bathroom is also where we have fitted an automatic washing machine for your use and as the room has a small, privacy screened window any steam/moisture is easily vented.

The rear gardens are closed off from the front with a secure, lockable gate due to regulations for the protection of children from swimming pool accidents. In the rear you will find a plunge pool surrounded with terraced decking. The pool is heated by a single solar panel and in the summer months the water temperature often reaches 35°C.

During the summer, the back gardens are in full sun from around 10am until sunset you will also have use of a delightful gazebo that offers superb views of the Monts d'Ambazac whilst screening you from the glaring daytime sunshine.

In the summer of 2007 we built a cocktail style bar in the rear garden. The bar is fully functional benefitting from a refrigerator and freezer that you are welcome to use to store drinks/ice cubes. Needless to say the bar was very popular with our guests and you are always welcome to join us for cocktails and aperitif if you wish.

Evening Meals
After a tiring day of house hunting you may not feel like coming back to the Gite to cook a meal. If so, you can take advantage of an evening meal prepared for you either to dine with us or alone in your gite as a take away. Freshly prepared Indian meals are our speciality and we don't need much of an excuse to put together a superb Indian Soiree.
