Situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, La Terrace sits in the quiet and pretty village of Le Vivier. Approximately 40 miles west of Perpignan and its airport La Terrace is perfectly situated to cater for all types of holidays, be it lazy days on the roof terrace, enjoying the many sites and the stunning scenery of the area, enjoying the sandy beaches and warm Mediterranean waters or even skiing in the winter months, this comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage offers couples absolute comfort throughout the year.

La Terrace is furnished and equipped to offer couples that little bit extra in space and comfort.

The double bedroom has a comfortable double bed with bedside tables and lamps, a wardrobe with shelving, radiator and fan, hairdryer and small dressing table with mirror. The window faces south.

The shower room has a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin with mirror and shelving above, heated towel rail and extractor fan. The washing machine is located under the stairs. On the first floor is the spacious living room with a comfortable 3 piece leather suite, coffee table, dvd and cd player, log burning fire and beamed ceilings, lots of maps and local information and some books for holiday reading. The window faces south over the roof tops of the village.

On the top floor there is the well equipped kitchen which has a 4 ring hob, electric oven, fridge /freezer, combination microwave/oven, lots of cutlery and crockery, kettle and coffee filter. The dining area is opposite with table and chairs. Opening the double sliding patio doors takes you onto the wonderful south facing roof terrace which has lovely views over the village to the 16C chateau and open, unspoiled countryside. On the terrace there is an outside dining table, gas barbecue and 2 sunloungers.

Le Vivier is situated in the stunning Fenouilledes region in the heart of Cathar country. The Fenouilledes are known for being a huge wine producing area. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to tasting in one of the dozens of wine caves in the area. For people who love siteseeing, history and walking, there are 3 magnificent Cathar castles, the Roman aquaduct, Rennes le Chateau, Salse le Chateau, the Gorge de Galamus and the tourist train, weekly open air village markets,all blended in with fabulous scenery and excellent walks.

Flights can be taken to Perpignan, Carcassonne, Girona, Barcelona and Toulouse with Ryanair, Bmi baby, flybe, jet2 and easyjet. The mediterranean beaches are approx 1 hrs drive as are the nearest ski slopes. Nearer to home many of the surrounding villages have some lovely restaurants where local dishes and wine are served at reasonable prices. The nearest villages of Caudies(10 mins) and St Paul (10 mins) offer a larger choice of bakers, paper shops, butchers, bars, post office, supermarkets, bank, restaurants.
