The villa is situated among orchards and vineyards in a quiet location on the edge of the village of St Nazaire about 8 km from Narbonne close to the Canal du Midi.

The accommodation is self-contained on the the ground floor of the villa and can sleep up to 8 people in 1 double room, 1 twin room, and 1 double room with 2 bunk beds. The double (Chinese Room) has it's own private shower, washbasin and WC which is immediately adjacent to the bedroom. The twin (Blue Room) has en- suite shower, toilet and wash basin, as does the Pine Room. A bed settee is also available in the large (8m x 5m) Lounge / dining room area and this has access to a shower and WC without having to enter a bedroom. Bed linen and towels are provided. Beach umbrellas, mats, iceboxes and picnic equipment are available. The dinning room/lounge area is furnished with a bar, colour television with BBC digital programmes. There are 2 settees 2 dining tables and plenty of chairs and storage space. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, separate freezer, and electric cooker with oven, grill and ceramic hob and a microwave. Clothes washing facilities are available if required. A Welcome Pack is provided, and also basic cleaning materials. A large patio door leads to a barbecue area and sitting space provided with a table, umbrella and chairs. There is a garden and another large patio at the side of the house, which gets the sun all day. The pool, which is 5 metres octagonal plunge pool is lovely for cooling off and is very safe for children as the steps, can be removed. There is also a pagoda by the pool, which gives welcome shade and a changing room with toilet and shower. A large paved courtyard is in front of the house, which is walled with a locking gate, gives security for children and parking for 3 - 4 cars.

The villa is in the Commune of Ginestas which is an area of fruit growing and vineyards. The Black Mountains are to the north and the Pyrenees to the south.

The village of St Nazaire has a post office, newsagent, Mini Market and 2 restaurants. There is a pharmacy in the next village of St Marcel. A large super-market with a petrol station is a 5 minute drive away.
Safe swimming with a full time lifeguard in July & August is about 10-minute drive. There are electric powered boats for hire on the Canal du Midi at Le Somail a few minutes away by car. We are within easy reach of many lovely beaches on the Mediterranean with boats, swimming, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing horse riding and other water sports. The Narbonne Plage (the nearest beach) is about is about 20 minutes drive. There are exhibitions, local markets, fetes, Cathar castles, Rennes le Chateau, Minerve and many interesting sites connected with the Knights Templars. At Sigean there is an African Wildlife Reserve. The stunning gorges of Galmus and the Tarn are within easy reach by car, there are countless wine caves in the Corbieres, Fitou, Riversaltes and Minervois regions to visit and the Spanish border and the Pyrenees Mountains are only 1 hours drive away. There are many Art Centres and the Dali museum at Figueres about 2 hours drive.

Excellent shopping can be enjoyed in Narbonne, an ancient Roman city with the Cathedral of Saint Just which has free concerts in the summer. It has many Roman remains and museums, stylish modern shops, restaurants and cafes to enjoy. The Midi Canal runs through the centre of the city and there is a market twice a week well worth a visit, and a stunning indoor food market in the centre. There is also a sports centre and an Olympic size pool out doors plus a large in door swimming pool for children and adults, also an Ice Rink and Bowling Alley with all the modern facilities including a very good restaurant. Carcassonne probably the best and most impressive medieval Fortress City in the world are about 40 minutes drive. Andorra with its stunning scenery and tax free shopping is about 2.5 hrs away.
