Maison Penfra is situated in the heart of the Morbihan countryside just eight minutes drive away from Lac au Duc, a beautiful lake ideal for swimming, watersports, picnics and playing golf. Maison Penfra is also near the medieval town of Josselin with its famous chateau perched on the edge of the Oust River and Nantes-Brest Canal. It is also close to the market town of Ploermel which is also well worth a visit and where you can find some good sized supermarkets.
The house is eighteenth century with bare stone walls, exposed beams, original staircase and terracotta tiled and wooden flooring. The gite has a large garden complete with barbeque and furniture and if you require them, a cot and highchair are available.
The lounge is also quite large with an original Breton fireplace and comfy settees. There's Sky TV, a DVD and VCR with plenty of DVDs and Videos to choose from, PS2 with Buzz! if you enjoy quizzing and also a CD player.
The three bedrooms are a good size, two of which have a kingsize bed (one room is ground floor suitable for the disabled) and the other twin beds. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, a bath and a hairdryer is available to use.
Maison Penfra's kitchen is very rustic with a gas oven, fridge-freezer and small table and chairs for those late up for breakfast!
The gite is situated within a hamlet which itself is on the edge of a pretty village and is within walking distance of the best boulangerie in the area as well as a restaurant and bar.
The surrounding area is great for walking and cycling and the coast is just under an hour away.
