Kerhotten is situated in the heart of rural Brittany, a three hundred year old commune of three superb, detached stone cottages (and 1 new property built in 2001) at the end of a leafy, country lane. Nestling in 3 acres of land, on the edge of the picturesque LAC DU DORDU, you will not be disturbed by traffic. The cottages all share use of the 30'x20' solar heated swimming pool.
Kerhotten Farmhouse is a typical Breton farmhouse that has been tastefully renovated and retains its original stone fire place. On the ground floor is an extremely spacious and comfortable beamed lounge with open plan dining area and fully fitted kitchen. A feature beech staircase leads you to the first floor and a large, double bedroom with exposed beams and French window providing extensive views of the lake. A further two twin rooms and house bathroom with shower over. This cottage also benefits from oil fired central heating.

The large, fitted kitchen is well equipped with a gas full cooker, microwave, washing machine, refrigerator and coffee maker.

The lounge has a magnificent feature fire place with wood burner and there is also an open plan dining area, open staircase, Television, Video, DVD player and a spare portable TV that is ideal for games consoles.

Three bedrooms, two twin and the master double is fitted with a Breton Suite and offers a lake view from the French doors.
Special features
There is an added attraction of an original Breton Bread Oven in the grounds. The gardens are well stocked, attractive and extensive affording you the opportunity for quiet relaxation and contemplation however there is a separate playing field for those boisterous ball games. As our guests you can enjoy a quiet game of boules, explore the surrounding countryside on our cycles (bicycles are available) or on foot.
The LAC DU DORDU with a small beach, lakeside bar and children's play area can be accessed directly from our grounds. For those of you who are keen anglers, LAC DU DORDU offers large common carp, large Pike, tench, perch and last season even some wild trout! Fishing day permits can be purchased for 4€ at the village bar, so why not try your luck? With a variety of bird life this makes an idyllic, lakeside retreat. Canoes & rowing boats can be used on the lake but motorized boats are not allowed.
Local activities
Driving is a pleasure on wonderfully quiet country roads which wind through beautiful tree lined valleys and sleepy villages. This is a fantastic area for cycling, rambling and bird watching. It is an artists paradise with wonderful light and a painting every time you turn around.
Locally we can offer Horse riding that is less than 10 minutes away and a superb 9 hole golf course, about 25 minutess away, Quad Biking and the famous Lac de Guerledan with all manner of water sports and boat trips is 20 minutes away. The Nantes Brest canal is 15 minutes drive. The picturesque Guld de Morbihan is than an hour away, as are the historic towns of Anray, Vannes, Quimper and Josselin.
With so many coastlines, many leisure activities are focused on the water: sailing, surfing, canoeing, rowing, and sand yachting. For history fans, there are megaliths, château, museums, and medieval towns.

Location
Kerhotten is situated at the northern edge of the Morbihan, surrounded by open fields and farmland. The local village is 1 km away and provides a boulangerie, bar and pizzeria. The larger town of Guemene sur scorff is 7km away. We are approx 15min away from the Nantes/Brest Canal, The famous Lac de Guerledan, with water sports, restaurants, beaches etc. is 20min away, and southern coastal beaches are less than an hour away. Historic towns of Vannes, Josselin, Auray & Quimper in just over an hour.
