On the Brittany-Normandy border, 'Le Petit Lapin' is located on top of a hill in the small village of Sains, nine kilometres from the famous medieval site of Mont Saint Michel.
Renovated and furnished to a very high standard, this traditional Breton cottage has a lovely view over the Couesnon Valley to the south.
Indoors you will find a cosy kitchen/living area with exposed beams and granite. The kitchen is fully equipped and fitted with an electric oven, cooker and washing machine. In the living area you have access to satellite 'free view' TV that receives both English and French programmes, DVD, VCR, CD player, radio and free WiFi Internet access.
The cottage is heated throughout and offers one bedroom plus a small mezzanine with double bed and can accommodate two to four people comfortably. There is also a bathroom with a shower, wash basin and W.C.
Outdoors you will find a private terrace and large, fenced courtyard with one side open to a field, a large apple orchard, a barbeque and outdoor furniture.
'Le Petit Lapin' is located in the village of Sains, 30 minutes from the ferry port of Saint Malo (served by Brittany Ferries) and 30 minutes from the airport at Dinard (served by Ryanair from Stansted).
The village's large playing field and outdoor basketball court are a short walk from the cottage; there is also a lake for fishing that also offers picnic tables a kilometre away.
The lively market town of Pontorson is six kilometres to the east, while Dol de Bretagne, with its ancient cathedral, is eight kilometres to the west. Dol additionally boasts several fine restaurants and a public indoor swimming pool. Sandy beaches are a thirty-minute drive from the house, as is dramatic cliff-walking near Cancale, a town famed for its oysters.
Saint Malo, with its old walled town and a large aquarium, is also a thirty-minute drive, as is the beautiful medieval town of Dinan.
