The property is situated in a delightful rural location offering peace, quiet and space while at the same time being only 10 minutes from all amenities and 40 minutes from delightful pine-fringed, sandy beaches.
The cottage is bright and airy with high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and offers cheerful, uncluttered accommodation. It is fitted with heating and a woodburner for your winter visits along with simple but very comfortable rural French furniture.
Studio l'Etable has a bedroom with 5' double bed and a good sized living room with sofa beds. In addition there is a separate fully fitted kitchen with washing machine and a bathroom with bath and shower. Then there is the additional adjoining accommodation (the studio), opened up to give a further bedroom/living room, arranged as a studio with a kitchenette and shower room.
Outside the french windows you have 2 terraces with garden furniture; one facing West with full views across the fields to the sunset, the other facing south. There is a large garden with plenty of trees which offer ample shade if needed.
The property occupies a delightful, rural location that offers peace and quiet as well as space with mature trees providing shade and privacy where wanted. There is a very large garden and adjoining field which is wonderful for children of all ages to amuse themselves, play, pitch tents etc. or indeed for you to choose a shady (or sunny) nook to sit and reflect.
Although we have no pool, to avoid spoiling the peaceful environment for other guests, the river Charente, clean and delightful for swimming, is just down a short track with a stony beach for access. Jellies or surfing/boarding shoes recommended for getting in and out. As well as swimming, you can go canoeing (we have a canoe you are welcome to use) and we also have rods available for fishing.

The area boasts several superb golf courses and equestrian centres that are all within easy reach. The closest is only fifteen minutes away, outside the delightful Roman town of Saintes. There you can find indoor and outdoor pools as well as many other things to do.
