A traditional style 3 bedroomed long term let villa with open aspect across a large courtyard and Mount Canigou in the distance. The villa is situated in a secure complex with parking. Although the villa can accommodate up to eight, a couple can just as easy enjoy the compact space.
The property has been newly furnished in 2007 and offers a roomy lounge/diner/kitchen that opens onto a large enclosed west facing terrace (ideal for evening barbecues as the sun goes down). Also downstairs is a bedroom equipped with bunk beds as well as a handy cloakroom/WC.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms with large built in wardrobes and a shower room/WC.
The property is equipped with satellite TV (watch your favourite UK programmes), DVD player, DVDs, books and games. There is information provided on the many places to visit in the region.
The long term let villa is only two minutes walk from the huge sandy beach so it is easy to pop back for a cold drink or cup of tea to take a break.
The self sufficient amenities in the small quiet resort of Sainte Marie la Mer are only five minutes walk away - a boulangerie for the essential baguettes, supermarket, fruit shops, clothes shops, bars, restaurants, cash point, hairdressers, bike hire, etc.
The resort is just off the modern road network that provides easy access to Spain, the border being less than 30 minutes drive. Perpignan which receives flights from the UK is only 20 minutes away.
The larger beach resorts of Canet, le Bacares, St Cyprien, Argeles are all close by offering bustling shops and daytime and evening markets.
For a change of scenery visit rocky Collioure and Banylus sur Mer.
Horse riding, water sports, golf, walking, windsurfing are all available.
The villa is available all year and is only 1.5 hours from the ski slopes. Electric heating is available for the colder months.
