The house benefits from having the living and eating areas at the top of the house to make the most of the wonderful light, and view of the surrounding countryside. Pretty little cobbled streets wind their way up the hilly village of Roquebrun leading to many charming village houses, often with terraces or small gardens looking out over the surrounding countryside or down onto the river Orb.

Roquebrun has a uniquely mild microclimate, giving it the ideal environment. It's most popular attraction is it's Mediterranean garden, with hundreds of examples of mature cacti.

EATING OUT AND SHOPPING Roquebrun has 2 good restaurants, a pizzeria, bar, tabac, small supermarket, an excellent bakers, and a small market selling cheese, meats, and haircuts (!) every Friday.

BEACHES - Although it is approx 40km from the Mediterranean Roquebrun has its own beach right on it's doorstep. With the river Orb below offering large stony beaches with crystal clear mountain water, many people settle here for a days sunbathing, swimming and relaxing under the hot Mediterranean sun.

AIRPORTS - Nearest airports are Beziers 25kms, Carcassone, Montpellier, Nimes and Perpignan all of which are about 100km away. Both British Airways and Ryanair offer flights to and from the UK of approx one and half to two hours flight time.
