La Maison de Lavande, Montréal
La Maison de Lavande is a charming village house with a typical Mediterranean garden that is home to olive trees, fig bushes and delightfully scented herbs.
Located in the lovely Cathar village of Montréal the house is just 15 minutes from the historical town of Carcassonne and the airport with its regular RyanAir flights.
What makes our house extra special is that you don't have to share the space with the owners (as you often would in other rental homes). Once you get the key, you can relax and take it easy!
The house comfortably sleeps 6 people with 3 large bedrooms and can also sleep two more on two sofa beds in the lounge. The lounge benefits from a highly efficient wood burning stove and the dining room leads you out to the terrace through French doors.
Outdoors you will find a gas BBQ and a safe, fenced off garden for children. An additional playground, tennis courts and open air swimming pool are just 2 minutes walk from the house. On foot, you're just 2 minutes away from the village where you have all amenities inc. butchers, bakers, grocers, bank, cafe and pharmacy etc, as well as schools. By car you will find a well stocked supermarket just 1 minute drive outside of the village and 45 minutes to the closest beach or to the ski slopes.
Montréal is a vibrant village in one of the most popular and sunny regions of France, the Malepere. The Malapere is known as the Tuscany of south west France with its rolling hills, vineyards and sunflowers that bloom in late summer.
The house is available to rent all year round from one week up to 6-12 months.
