Moulin des Chauteix is an old watermill not far from the small village of St Gervais D'Auvergne which is situated in the Puy de Dôme department of the Auvergne region of central France.

Are you looking for a fantastic holiday at this unique place? That is possible!! The millershouse is suitable for a maximum of four people. It has a double and a twin bedroom, kitchen with microwave and oven, bathroom, washing machine, tv + video with a selection of films for all ages, boardgames, books, a fire place and all the conveniences you need for a wonderful holiday!

The nearest village is less than 5 minutes drive where you can get a nice fresh baguette and there is also a small shop, butcher and a bar with a restaurant.

In the bigger village of St Gervais d'Auvergne you'll find a small supermarket, bank, tourist information and a selection of bars and restaurants.

There is a lot to see in the close vicinity, like the crater lake "Gour de Tazenat", Gorges de Sioule, Meandre de Sioule, many lakes for swimming or fishing, medieval villages and of course the volcanoes for which the Puy de Dome is the most famous.

It is possible to go mountainbiking, horseriding, kayaking or simply enjoy the peace and quiet at the mill.

The Auvergne is a walking paradise, the possibilities are endless, hundreds of routes have been mapped out and there is a map with walking routes and general information in the mill.
